Store Update
I finally managed to get everything on the store! As I make new inventory for upcoming shows I’ll be able to photograph every available version and add the images to the gallery. Until then please ask any questions you may have through my contact page!
TikTok videos
Periodically I like to film some process videos for my TikTok page. Sometimes I share a little story or commentary about what I’m doing. Since I have a show coming up in Boulder on May 17-18 with Firefly Handmade I am ramping up in my free time to build some new frames and restock my botanical wood blocks. I typically repost the same stuff on to my Instagram page so you can choose where you follow! Of course I would appreciate the interaction and feedback.
Store is live!
But not everything is up yet!! I also don’t have photos of every physical piece and combination. As I create more items for the spring show I’ll be photographing and adding them to the gallery. One note is that shipping for a small artist like me can be brutal and it’s also not very flexible to calculate. I have done my best to figure out the pricing so that it’s reasonable for you while not cutting in to my bottom line too badly. With that being said, you will definitely get better prices if you come see me at a show! Please don’t hesitate to email me if you have any questions.
Online store coming soon
I just deactivated my Etsy store because using Etsy is not the most intuitive when it comes to accurate shipping costs. Most importantly for small artists they take a fortune in fees. After multiple people asked about whether I took orders on my website at this weekend’s show I decided to upgrade my website to allow for e-commerce so I can directly communicate with my customers and have more control over custom orders. In the meantime if you would like to place an order just email me what you’re interested in and I can send you a direct checkout link to get you taken care of!
Firefly Holiday Market
Thank you to Firefly Handmade and all the great people who stopped by my booth! We had perfect fall weather and an equally great turnout for the market! Many of my new pieces were very well received and sold out of most the botanical wood blocks. The botanicals were a big hit at this market and it felt really good to have my passions shared by so many people. Being an artist sometimes means you’re living alone on an island pursuing things that make you happy, but you’re completely unsure if anyone else will feel the same way. It brings me great joy to know that my labor of love will be on someone’s wall, or given as a gift to a loved one where it will add a little brightness to their home.
Unfortunately I didn’t take any photos of the show so all I have is this one Gillian snapped :)
Buffalo Bill Days
We just finished a great weekend in Golden with a booth at Buffalo Bill Days, or “Billy Days” as it’s called. I’ve now gotten my 2nd show under my belt and I’m taking all that feedback to make even more stuff for everyone. We had hundreds of visitors stop by the booth and sold a whole bunch of pieces! I was ecstatic with the amount of complements given and cards taken! I even had one young fan stop by just to tell me that she follows me on TikTok which, to be honest, was the highlight of the whole weekend. =)
