Artist Statement

Agostino, originally from southern Connecticut, studied fine art photography at the conservatory of State University of New York at Purchase. He has worked in advertising and filmmaking for 20 years. Now, living in Colorado, he’s focused on creating portraits of the great wilderness and other locations with character. His filmmaking background often breaks through either in composition or cropping as is the case in the wide frame cinematic crops of the Utah series.

“When I was young I’d photograph everything I saw in hopes it turned out to be something special. Now, my process is completely different. Decisive. Purposeful.”

Custom handmade frames

As an optional upgrade I make all of my own hardwood frames. Since they are handmade expect unique appearance, color and variations in the wood. Shadow boxes are typically white, gallery style frames made from MDF with hard backing. They come ready to hang. These are priced to order and lead time is 2-3 weeks.

Printed in Denver, CO

Unframed archival prints are shipped within a heavy cardboard roll and then double protected with thick bubble wrap to prevent dings or dents. Take that package directly to your framer. Acrylic prints are delivered in packaging appropriate for the size. Over a certain size and quantity they are shipped in wooden crates. If anything arrives with damage simply contact me for a replacement.

Pricing

Pricing on prints is very reasonable with a modest markup above the cost of production. My goal is to get art on your walls. Most pieces start at just $95 so please contact in order to give me the specs for your wall and budget.

Fulfillment Time

Generally orders are fulfilled within 2-3 weeks, but some larger items may take longer. Shipping times are generally 2-3 days after production. Around holidays it can be a bit longer, but not more than 2-3 weeks. It’s advised to allow for this production and shipping if ordering as a gift. You are ordering properly produced fine art, so you don’t want to rush it.

Custom sizes and print materials are available

Hogback

Close up from a signed limited edition print on archival paper. I use a Lexjet hot press rag heavyweight paper for my prints. It’s a very substantial paper with a matte appearance. When framing you should use a UV protected glass to prevent your print from fading.
